Frameworks that Work
Our frameworks are all built on practices that turned out to work, even if that meant iterating live during a session to get it to work. We do after action reviews for every session and we note what worked and what did not and why. Theses frameworks are the result of proven experiments. They are combinations of tasks, carefully designed conversations, that enable people to explore, to elaborate and to align and decide. Each session starts with an incomplete framework on the wall, at a minimum for a full day from 80 feet to 120 feet. Think of them as proven recipes which you can use to plan and deliver an enjoyable nourishing meal.
Theory
Some of our theory is unique, we created it as we practiced and learnt how to become design-centric facilitators. It helps you understand why the techniques and practices work, and underpins your practice. Some of the theory we use is from others who we value and respect. Ron Westrum’s work on culture is a good example. We find it invaluable in helping a leadership team work on enhancing their generative culture, reduce bureaucracy and eliminate pathological behaviors.
